Kenneth Lay is dead. The son of a preacher.
Kenneth Lay is quoted as stating, “In my own case I grew up the son of a Baptist minister. From this background, I was fully exposed to not only legal behavior but moral and ethical behavior and what that means from the standpoint of leading organizations and people. I was, and am, a strong believer that one of the most satisfying things in life is to create a highly moral and ethical environment in which every individual is allowed and encouraged to realize their God-given potential. There are a few things more satisfying than to see individuals reach levels of performance that they would have thought was virtually impossible for themselves.” (Business as a Calling, Michael Novak, 1996, p. 22).
How does one reconcile this statement and the conviction for conspiracy and fraud? My friend Os Hillman applies this Scripture "Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping." (2 Peter 2:2-3)
The opening clue in the blockbuster movie based on Dan Brown’s book The Da Vinci Code was an anagram “So Dark the Con of Man.” Not only was this clue an anagram for the name of the painting that hid the next clue for discovering the secret of the Da Vinci Code, it was also a comment by the author of the book on the Christian religion. It basically asserted that the Catholic church had deceived the world about the nature and person of Jesus.

I thought it appropriate to announce the solution to the Clergy Conspiracy Code in honor of Kenneth Lay who unlike the Catholic church really did perpetrate a dark conspiracy that defrauded thousands of people!
