At New Life Church Kelowna it is the power of forgiveness that we need. There are many people who are in pain. Leadership is in pain because they made a very difficult decision to terminate the working relationship with the founding pastors of the church,  Wesley & Stacey Campbell. (see Joint Public Statement) The Campbell's are in pain because the decision came as a shock to them and dashed their hopes for an apostolic ministry (see Be a Hero) based out of the church. In my previous post I talked about a Christian response to bullying in the workplace. I recommended that the person being bullied make a diary and appeal to higher authorities if the bullying does not stop. In this post, I caution Christians against the temptation to play office politics to get the upper hand even though they may feel justified because they are being treated unfairly.

I read it today in the morning newspaper! He’s living in Siberia at a mountain top retreat. His followers are encamped around him in a community called “Sun City.” They have a website where you can find out all about what he’s up to. (See the Globe and Mail article if you are interested. View Article  Jesus is risen from the dead! Therefore our work is not in vain!

Since our inception as human beings we have had a mandate from God to wisely order his good creation (Genesis 1:26). According to certain theologians this is a waste of time (see previous post) since we should really be investing our time in what lasts. Heaven is what lasts not earth, therefore, we must focus on spiritual growth and evangelism and not  worry too much about mundane work. ...   more »
