My Core Values

These are a personal set of core values that act as a compass to keep me focused on what God has called me to be and to do in this life's journey.

God - ward

  • Faith. Jesus Christ is the centre and foundation of my life.

  • Grace. The favour that makes the path possible, the force that fuels the drive and the oil that lubricates the engine of life.

  • Spirit. A well fed spirit triumphs over soulish selfishness.

  • Submission. Giving God what he wants.

  • Glory. God gets it all and more for He alone is WORTHY!

Other - ward

  • Relationship. More important than task, than money, than success, than any other interest.

  • Community. Living together with others especially family.

  • Family. People close to me are worthy of my time and attention.

  • Team. Working together interdependently with others towards a common goal is a worthy endeavour.

  • Culture. I respect the uniqueness and diversity of cultural identity.

  • Engagement. In the world I will engage people, powers & principalities in a passionate pursuit for the glory of God.

  • Mission. A compelling and other centred purpose.

  • Passion. I will play the game of life with all my heart.

  • Covering. Under the authority of another, I exercise God’s authority.

  • Servant Leadership. I am a servant who leads rather than a leader who serves.

  • Intentional Integrity. I will intentionally and strategically live what I believe.

  • Generosity. All that I am and that I have, I give.

  • Faithfulness. Consistent, persevering commitment to God’s assignment throughout life’s journey.

  • Excellence. I desire to be the best I can be in the achievement of my assignments.

  • Humility. Keeping my head low, I will never presume the place or position of power.

  • Relevant Spirituality. Robust spirituality in all spheres of life and especially in those areas most relevant to the everyday life of believers.

  • Learning. Constant Learning, personal enrichment and growing in the knowledge of God are the key to excellence.

  • Order. Consistent organized action and coherent strategic thinking make for efficient and effective implementation.

  • Industry & Focus. Persevering diligent hard work, plodding in the same direction pursuing promised potential produces profit, prosperity and peace.

  • Active Reflection. Constant evaluation and refining of who I am, what I am thinking, where I am going and how I am getting there given the past lessons, the present ground reality and the possible future potential.

  • Reflective Action. Action that proceeds from reflection precedes progress.

  • Future Clarity. Picturing and planning for future possibilities produces fruitful outcomes.

  • Wisdom - The RIGHT use of knowledge.
