The Christian Enterprise Trust of Zambia exists as a voluntary trust of Christians in business committed to empower potential or existing business people in small and medium sized businesses through the provision of:
- small capital loans for business start up or expansion,
- training in business skills,
- sound business counsel in the planning and operations of a business;
and through the promotion of Christian principles in business by:
- discipling business people in the Christian faith,
- networking within the business and Christian communities to build relationships,
- and upholding a biblical standard of right moral and ethical conduct in business;
in order that:
- individual spiritual, social and economic needs are met,
- righteousness, justice, peace and stability prevail in the community,
- and the kingdom of God is established, extended and exalted in the nation of Zambia.

To accomplish our purpose we aim:
- To create a financial trust for providing capital for business activity.
- To build a business resource and training facility for the equipping, guiding and discipling of business people.
- To manage an institution that operates by and promotes Christian principles in business.
- To generate a reasonable profit to support the activity of the trust.
- To promote the development of small businesses geared to empowering the poor and serving the community and the Church with a view to creating new job opportunities and addressing issues of spiritual and social importance.
In line with our stated aims we have set the following objectives:
- To source, raise and acquire money and equipment for business and capital purposes.
- To research, develop and implement methods and materials for training business people in business skills and Christian discipleship principles.
- To research, develop and address issues of importance for Christians in business and business people in the Christian community.
- To build a facility and recruit a God fearing volunteer board and professional staff that will:
- a. provide counsel and advice for business people;
- b. encourage a network of Christians in business for the sharing of information and business opportunities;
- c. and work with existing organizations in developing an overall plan for small enterprise development in Zambia.

We value:
Stewardship: As born again children of God we believe that we are stewards and not owners of God's resources in our possession. And just as "a steward must prove worthy of trust" so we commit ourselves to the highest standards of accountability and conduct in the pursuit of our purpose. Also, we commit ourselves to the most efficient and effective uses of the limited resources available to us.
Free Enterprise: As Christian business people we believe that God created business activity as good and wholesome for the advancement of His purposes on the earth. Through the fall, along with every human endeavor, economic activity has been corrupted by sin. However, we believe that through faith in Jesus Christ free enterprise can be redeemed and established as a right and proper method for the advancement of God's kingdom on the earth.
Culture: As cultural beings, we believe that God is the author of culture because he is the Creator. Therefore we will value the culture and ways of the people we seek to help, examining cultural traditions in the light of scripture and respecting these traditions as they are consistent with biblical revelation and as they hold together and strengthen communities and nations.
Human Dignity: As human beings, we believe in the inherent, intrinsic and absolute worth of the human person and we commit to respect, uphold and promote the dignity and well being of the human person in all our business activity. We are especially concerned about the well being and dignity of the poor and dedicate ourselves to empowering the poor through encouragement in business activity. We believe equality is fundamental to human dignity and we commit ourselves to work in relationship with all peoples of any race, creed or religious affiliation.
Relationships: As members of God's family we esteem the importance of relationship. Only relationships are eternal. Programs, plans, institutions and money are not eternal. Therefore, we will promote relationship based on respect, mutual accountability and trust in the conduct of our affairs.

As a Christian Business Institution we believe:
· One God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
· The Father, perfect in holiness, power, wisdom love and grace sovereignty acts in creation, caring for creation, redemption and recreating the universe.
· The Lord Jesus, came as God in the flesh conceived by a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles by divine power, and died as an atoning sacrifice for sins.
· The Lord Jesus resurrected bodily, upon his ascension was crowned as king in heavenly places, now exercises His kingly rule over creation as mediator between God and human beings. Jesus Christ is Lord over any and all economic activity.
· Through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus only, human beings are saved, an act of God's grace through faith apart from works.
· The Holy Spirit, by his sovereign work regenerates the repentant, indwells believers and progressively works a holy life in them.
· The Scripture, the Holy Bible, breathed by God is infallible, entirely trustworthy and the supreme authority in determining all matters of faith and conduct including all matters pertaining to business activity. The Bible has an answer to every moral and ethical business dilemma and provides principles by which a business may succeed both materially and morally.
· All who believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation share a spiritual unity and belong to the universal church, the body of Christ of which He is the head.
· Jesus will return in person, power and glory and all the dead will be resurrected bodily: believers to everlasting blessedness and unbelievers to everlasting punishment.
