One of my pet peeves is that every advance in Internet Software technology seems to create higher levels of complexity which generally confuse most Internet users. For example, Adobe Acrobat recently came out with a nifty update to their PDF Internet browser that integrates with Internet Explorer. This udpate enables you to pull up a form and fill it out and submit it online. The problem is that the data you put in the PDF form is not saved when you save it to the hard drive. So you think you have completed your form and you want to save a copy but when you go to pull it up from your form is empty! ARGH! Better to simply print it and fill it out the old fashioned way. Then you at least have a completed copy of your form.
What is worse is that I am constantly encouraging my spouse to get Internet literate but when this happens it is just another example of why Bill Gates and company can't get it right and why she prefers to do it the old fashioned way!
