As I predicted here, the Liberal Left media in Canada continues to fear faith at work . Vancouver Sun published a feature on Social conservatism in politics in Canada today. (Pray: Canada's social conservatives are anxious to have their voices heard where it really counts in a democracy) It was peppered with the usual fear inspiring words used to demonize sincere people of faith who are forthright about living their faith in the public square. (So-cons call Tory party home by Peter O'Neil) Words like "shuddered" were used to portray evangelicals as scary. Liberal Left media would never frame ethnic or religious minorities who dare to enter politics in such a way. However, Christians are consistently portrayed as having a "hidden agenda" to impose their narrow view of the world on the rest of us. Of course, Liberal Left media in Canada has no problem with Socialists  in the form of Roy Romanow imposing his narrow view of the world on the rest of us. (See Rich in diversity by Roy Romanow ) If Christians do it, that's scary! If the Socialists do it, that the Canadian way. The Liberal Left bias of Canadian media is inevitably on display when featuring Christians in public life so we had better get used to it and be smart about answering it. Social conservatives make up a significant proportion of the Canadian population and deserve to have a voice at the table in the shaping of public policy.
